I’ve had several people tell me I should keep some sort of record of the ‘goings on’ of this crazy life. My husband is an avid blogger and I think he thinks everyone should have a blog, so he has been my biggest advocate as of late. I feel like I will most likely neglect this blog because, when will I find the time?!? Another reservation I have had is, “am I interesting enough?” When reading other blogs I find some writers witty, funny, and just intriguing. Do I have what it takes to run with this crowd? I don’t know, all we can do is sit back and watch…and wait.
I had thrown around some ideas for some names for the blog (mostly to myself in my head), but the title finally came today, via my five year old son. Here’s the conversation that ensued.
Son: How are we going to get to heaven?
Me: Jesus is going to come and get us.
Son: I think He will drive a truck pulling a trailer on the back and come pick us all up.
Me: Oh, kinda like a hayride or something?
Son: Yeah
So I promptly started singing (to the tune of AC/DCs Highway To Hell) ‘You’re on a haaayride to heaven!’ My husbands response was, “There’s your title for your blog.” I loved it. So that inspired me to start….today. The end.
